The Cooper Brothers companies were brought together by filmmaker Matt Cooper and entrepreneur David Cooper. Runway will maintain its name and identity, and drive all rental activities for the Cooper Brothers companies. Runway founder/CEO Roberta Margolis, who’s led the company since its inception in 1992, will continue to oversee operations, staying on in a consulting role. The company will continue to be based in Culver City, though the Cooper Brothers plan to expand Runway’s footprint and inventory of Avid and Final Cut Pro rental systems, support equipment, and services to additional locations around LA, and to major production centers in the U.S.
