LAS VEGAS – At a press event Monday, Surrey, UK’s Soundtracs www.digiconsoles.com introduced a new, compact yet expandable digital mixing console designed for television and film post production. The DS-00 will be priced around $45,000, and, in its standard configuration, is equipped with 17 faders, 64 channels, 40 busses and eight-band EQ for each channel. The system is designed for multichannel work, handling formats up to 7.1.
The EX-00 expansion module ($12,000) adds eight faders, a touchscreen and complete monitoring to the system. The FP-00 film panel expander adds dedicated paddle switches to buss/tape switch. And the HD-00 expander is a 19-inch rack for integrating an edit controller or outboard hardware.
