SANTA MONICA, CA – Forward Never Straight Productions (FNS) recently completed post on a large video project for game publisher THQ. The facility provided video editing, effects and encoding services for the video game MX Superfly featuring moto-cross star Ricky Carmichael.

According to Forward Never Straight’s Chris Hepburn, the studio cut six :30 reward movies for the game, as well as a :90 intro movie. Live action moto-cross freestyle and race footage was provided on Beta SP and was edited on the studio’s Discreet Edit V.6.0 system. Effects and compositing was handled using Adobe After Effects V.5.5.

“Our company also provided encoding services to THQ,” adds Hepburn. Forward Never Straight (www.forwardneverstraight.com) converted the final video into the proprietary video formats for Sony PlayStation 2, Nintendo GameCube and Microsoft Xbox platforms for both NTSC and PAL. The final encoded video was delivered to the client’s FTP site.
