Priced at $698K, the Spirit HD scans at SD and HD formats in both 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 color resolutions. Outputs are available as SDI, HD-SDI, dual-link HD-SDI and data, allowing the system to be used as the input to 1920×1080 digital intermediate post production. Gates are available for both 35mm and 16mm film.
Thomson says the upgrade to 2K capabilities can be performed in the field in just one day, keeping downtime at a minimum. The upgraded to 4K will take two days.
