The film reveals the cultural, social, and political complexities of Cuban baseball and America’s relationship with the island nation, while highlighting the players’ friendship.
The feature was shot using Canon XL1 cameras. Nagel created the initial rough cut using Apple Final Cut Pro. The Final Cut offline was then imported to an Avid Adrenaline system using Automatic Duck software, where Maurice Abbate (then with Three Fingered Louie and now at Refinery) performed the final edit.
