BlackRaw Studio (https://blackraw.app) is available on the App Store, bringing footage review, color correction and simple video editing to Apple’s iPhone. The app can opens supported Blackmagic Raw and Apple ProRes Raw formats, alongside ProRes, H.264 and HEVC, allowing filmmakers to work with camera footage and everyday video in the same pocket workflow.
Formerly known as BlackRaw Visor, the new Studio release expands the app beyond raw playback. Users can open multiple clips from Files or Photos, build a simple timeline and set shot in/out points in a dedicated trim view. Color tools include primary adjustments, lift/gamma/gain/offset wheels, Y/R/G/B curves, HSL and ColorSlice. Users can grade an individual clip or share a finish across the timeline. They can also import LUTs, copy & paste grades, and export supported static color adjustments as .cube LUTs.
For Blackmagic camera workflows, supported B-Raw originals can be trimmed to Files without re-encoding or baking in the grade. Apple ProRes Raw supports source-appropriate Raw adjustments. Original Raw trimming is B-Raw-only.
The app is free to download and requires iOS 17 or later. Export requires a pro plan.
