NEW YORK — Post recently took a tour of audio post house Sound Lounge (www.soundlounge.com) in NYC. The studio specializes in sound design and mixing for commercials, but also has facilities for long-form work, including independent films.
We caught up with mixer Rob DiFondi (below), who was working on a number of projects, including a spot for Lowe’s, a two-and-a-half minute short, and a project for Maybelline.
Sound Lounge partner/mixer Peter Holcomb calls this studio home (below). It features an Avid control surface, Pro Tools 10 and a Yamaha DM1000 sidecar console.
Sound Lounge marketing director Louisa Gleichman (below) shows off one of the studio’s suites.
Steve ‘Major’ Giammaria focuses on long-form work at the studio. Pictured below is Sound Lounge’s mix theater, which features a two-position Digidesign console.
