ATLANTA — Creative agency The DVI Group specializes in video production, having worked with numerous Fortune 500 companies within the last 14 years. The company works to create true branded entertainment for its corporate clients, which include AT&T, Newell Rubbermaid, Calphalon, Dow, Bank of America, Sherwin-Williams, Cotton Incorporated, and The Federal Reserve Bank.
DVI's production and post production services include motion graphics, 2D animation, 3D animation, and visual effects. Recently, the studio created a video for client Calphalon, titled The Making of a Pan. DP Michael Hodges used several GoPros on the shoot, as well as a Red camera, and Canon 5Ds.
The shoot took place in one of Calphalon's factories. The challenges included giving the space less of a drab factory look, and rigging cameras to capture the manufacturing process. GoPros were sent down conveyer belts in some instances.
The minute-and-a-half video was edited in Adobe Premiere Pro running on Mac Pros. The machines are equipped with 12 cores and AJA Kona cards. For storage, the DVI Group relies on an EditShare storage solution. The DVI Group's managing partner Matthew Lopes directed and edited the video.
