LAS VEGAS - Pennsauken, NJ-based Disc Makers is at NAB with its new Medley automated DVD/CD publisher. The low-cost and easy-to-use automated disc printing and burning system is contained in a small footprints and can burn and print up to 50 discs at one time. Medley is capable of ripping music from CDs to a computer's hard drive.
Disc Makers (www.discmakers.com) is also showing its newly- launched ReflexBlu line of Blu-Ray compatible tower duplicators that allow users to create, edit, and duplicate Blu-Ray discs (BD-Rs), DVD-Rs and CD-Rs. A single layer BD-Rs hold up to 25GBs, while a Dual Layer BD-R can hold up to 50GBs.
The new ReflexBlu2 has a duplication capacity of two full BD-Rs/hour, four DVD-Rs/hour, and seven CD-Rs/hour. The unit is priced at $2,999.
The ReflexBlu4 is priced at $4,999 and can produce 4 BD-Rs/hour, eight DVD-Rs/hour, and 14 CD-Rs/hour. Each unit also includes a disc creation software suite; USB connectivity, allowing access to one drive for mastering and playback; and a 250GB hard drive that can store up to nine full BD images.
The Blackjack, a 21-drive manual duplicator for large scale production houses, is also on display.
