THE FBX COMMUNITY AT TURBO SQUID

NEW ORLEANS - Digital media marketplace Turbo Squid and 3D animation software provider Kaydara announced that a new Kaydara FBX community has been added to Turbo Squid's Web site.

With over 700 active FBX models, scenes and motion capture files, Turbo Squid (www.turbosquid.com) offers 3D artists a wealth of 3D content and data in Kaydara's (www.kaydara.com) powerful file format. FBX is a platform-independent 3D authoring and interchange format that provides access to 3D content from all major 3D vendors and platforms. FBX is a binary file format that supports all the main 3D data elements including models, animations, textures, cameras, lights, and all associated hierarchical information, as well as 2D, audio, and video media. FBX also contains a special data structure for digital characters, that allows for high-quality, fully deformable IK driven characters to be easily transferred between packages. Used for over five years in production studios worldwide and supported by over 20 different 3D tools across a wide variety of platforms, FBX has proven itself a versatile, accurate, and dependable authoring and data transfer format.

The new Kaydara FBX community will allow users to search by model type, artist, or keyword while staying within the FBX community. Users may browse all of the FBX content from their favorite artist within an efficient search engine.
