HAMPSHIRE, UK - At NAB next month, Snell & Wilcox will add to its HD switcher range with the new HD3060, a 3 M/E high definition switcher designed for live production. The HD3060 has 64 inputs (expandable to 128) and 12 keyers. Like the rest of the Snell & Wilcox HD switcher range, the HD3060 works in all known HD formats.
The HD3060 offers the option of up to four two-channel DVEs that can apply effects to the keyers and background transitions, including warps, tiling, ripples, rolls and peels, and lighting effects. The effect options can be fully integrated and require no additional connections or extra rack space.
Other key features of the HD3060 include instantaneous HD and SD switching, break away M/E control with separate control panel, powerful macro functions, and seamless integration with external devices.
The HD3060 can also control FlexiCache, an optional, fully-integrated RAM recorder for adding stings and bumps to live HD productions. FlexiCache can provide online storage for up to two minutes of full-frame 1080/60i video. Using a "Crumple" feature, it can further increase this capacity. Up to four FlexiCache outputs can be fed directly into the switcher.
