RACING TO THEATERS

NEW YORK - For the new cinema spot for Coca-Cola and NASCAR via McCann Erickson New York, design studio Freestyle Collective implemented type design along with 3D animation in high-definition for the scene revealing Coca-Cola's Racing Family logo.

The primary technical challenge was dealing with the increased rendering times required for the HD format. Freestyle used Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to produce the initial storyboards, Softimage|XSI for 3D animation and Discreet Inferno for compositing and finishing.

The spot was cut by editor J.J. Lask of editorial house PS 260; the online edit was done at Moving Images; Dan Zank of Yessian Music composed the track and Robert Chapman of The Audio Department did the mix.
