IRIDAS RELEASES PLAYBACK SYSTEM

MUNICH - Allowing artists immediate access to sequences of any length at 2K resolutions and higher, Iridas (www.iridas.com) has developed a PC-based system that plays uncompressed film-resolution sequences directly from 8-, 10- or 16-bit formats in realtime without converting to high speed formats.

This advance is based around the company's Intelligent Look-Ahead Playback (ILAP) system, a unique RAM buffering technology, which preloads upcoming frames in the background while a sequence is playing enabling direct-from-disk playback in any format.

Iridas will introduce its ILAP-powered FrameCycler DDS Infinite software at NAB. The software is priced at $9,999.
