LAS VEGAS - Coral Springs, FL's da Vinci unveiled new features for its Resolve nonlinear color enhancement family at NAB 2005. Enhancements include Acceleration with da Vinci's exclusive PowerPlant dedicated massive bit-processing hardware, which allows image processing to be seen immediately without the compromise of render caching delay.
Resolve's nonlinear approach allows for flexibility and speed while using the traditional da Vinci control panels. Images of mixed resolution - up to 4K and beyond - are handled with internal processing of 64 bits for RGBY and controlled from the node-type display. Also, corrections can be cascaded or added in parallel in the usual da Vinci fashion.
