MIAMI - Editors Hernan Menandez and Alejandro Santangelo have teamed up to form the new creative editorial company Circolo. Menendez, who is originally from Madrid, moved to Miami after several years with New York's WildChild Editorial. There he worked on projects for Heineken, McDonald's, Miller Lite, AT&T, Cingular, Wendy's and Phillip Morris. Prior to joining WildChild, he worked in Buenos Aries, editing television shows such as "De la Cabeza" and music videos such as "Matador."
Santangelo was born in Argentina, and has worked as creative editor and post supervisor for Flehner Films. He has also served as post production director of Metrovision Argentina, where he had the opportunity to work with Francis Ford Coppola and Robert Duvall on their film "Assassination Tango."
In addition to Santangelo and Menendez, Circolo is also home to executive producer Michelle McKay, who's worked in Miami for several years as an assistant editor before becoming a producer in Los Angeles. She later returned to Miami, where she served as account supervisor and producer for BVI.
The company is located in Coconut Grove, FL, and is working on expanding its reach beyond the Hispanic market. Recently, Circolo provided post services on spots for Ford, Bright House Networks, Nextel, Cingular and Visa.
