SOUTH MELBOURNE - At NAB, Blackmagic Design (www.blackmagic-design.com) announced DeckLink Pro, an uncompressed 10-bit SDI realtime effects QuickTime card with analog video monitoring, and DeckLink SP, a high-quality analog component YUV uncompressed video card with analog stereo for connecting to analog decks.
DeckLink Pro includes YUV video monitoring with eigh5t channels of SPDIF digital audio monitoring allowing the connection of SDI-based systems via true 10-bit connections and built-in video genlock. DeckLink Pro is compatible with broadcast decks including Sony Digital Betacam, D1, Panasonic DVC Pro 25, DVC Pro 50, D5 and the Sony J series. DeckLink Pro retails for $1,295.
DeckLink SP features analog component YUV video I/O, stereo balanced audio, 10-bit uncompressed SDI video output with eight channels of SDI embedded audio. SP retails for $1,095.
All the features of both video cards are immediately available for Mac systems. Limited features are available for Windows systems though the additional features will be added in the coming months.
