WEST HOLLYWOOD, CA - Producer Marcee Sanchez has joined the team at Abandon Editorial (www.abandoneditorial.com), bringing a creative background in fashion and experience assisting in architectural projects, with a focus on interior finishes. She approaches post with a deep appreciation for collaboration and a leadership style that prioritizes kindness and the people behind the work. Her producing experience includes projects for Expedia, Hilton, Apple and Montefiore.
“I’ve learned so much through collaboration and producing has been a way to fully embrace that,” shares Marcee. “It allows me to connect with people, navigate challenges with kindness, and embrace the collaborative spirit I value deeply. Abandon stood out to me as a place that not only values great work, but also nurtures its people. Seeing the way Abandon’s values align so closely with the kind of environment I want to grow in made this decision feel like the right next step."
After an early career in fashion as a creative director, Sanchez explored various creative fields before finding her calling in commercial production. In 2021, she landed a role as production coordinator with Cosmo Street Editorial, where she quickly fell in love with the fast-paced, collaborative nature of post production. Recognizing the parallels between her past experiences in fashion and the world of commercial production, she worked her way up to associate producer, with her first major job for Expedia via Weiden+Kennedy, before becoming a fully-fledged producer.
She previously worked closely with Abandon's executive producer Joanna Hall while at Cosmo Street, honing her skills and gaining a deeper understanding of production. Hall's guidance and mentorship played a pivotal role in shaping her approach.
“I couldn’t be more thrilled about Marcee joining the Abandon team,” states Hall. “She is exactly what we need — organized, friendly and always eager to help. She knows the business well and still continues to grow with every new project.”
