Google Cloud joins TPN content security initiative

LOS ANGELES – Google Cloud is the newest member of Trusted Partner Network (TPN), the Motion Picture Association’s content security initiative. As a global technology company whose portfolio encompasses entertainment content, Google Cloud’s membership with TPN supports its adherence to the MPA's best practices for content security preparedness.

“TPN embodies the ‘stronger together’ mentality by bringing partners together to elevate security across the content ecosystem," explains Toby Scales, security advisor, office of the CISO, Google Cloud. "We’re proud to join TPN and become part of a community that is dedicated to strengthening content security and that aligns with Google’s unwavering commitment to securing the global content supply chain. Together, we’re committed to raising the bar on trust, collaboration and protection throughout the content ecosystem.”

TPN is a content security initiative powered by the MPA that provides a standardized framework for protecting media assets throughout the entertainment industry’s supply chain. TPN is designed to help companies in the media and entertainment sectors safeguard valuable content by setting security standards and best practices, and offering a centralized platform for assessing the security preparedness of vendors and service providers.

“I am thrilled to welcome Google Cloud to the TPN community,” adds Terri Davies, president of TPN (www.TTPN.org). “As a global media and technology company, Google is underscoring the importance of securing the entertainment industry supply chain and setting an example to service providers and content owners alike. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration.”
