LOS ANGELES - Untold Studios (https://untoldstudios.tv) has appointed Ben Hampshire executive director, based in the creative studio's newly-expanded Culver City location. He will drive Untold’s design-led production and visual effects capabilities, as well as shape the next era of technology and GenAI-enabled creative output.
Untold Studios was established in 2018 and has teams in London, Toronto and Mumbai, as well as LA. The studio specializes in large-scale VFX and design-led projects across film, TV, music and advertising. Some of its clients include Netflix, Amazon, Apple, Disney and global brands behind Super Bowl campaigns.
A seasoned leader across the US and UK, Hampshire brings a proven track record of building enduring relationships with brands, agencies, directors and creatives. He began his career in the British film industry before moving into VFX at The Mill in London. He later launched and led The Mill’s Los Angeles studio as managing director, growing it from 25 to over 250 people. Most recently, he co-founded automotive content production hub, Carnage Films, and its GenAI-powered division, Carnage Intelligence.
“Ben is a true connector - his passion is infectious, his energy boundless and his experience second to none,” says Rochelle Palmer, managing director and co-founder of Untold Studios. “What makes him such a natural fit is his unwavering belief in the values we live by: creating outstanding work with outstanding people. I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Ben to Untold. He joins at an incredibly exciting moment for the studio, and I know he’ll play a pivotal role in what comes next.”
