LOS ANGELES - LA-based post production studio Ethos (https://ethos.studio) recently welcomed colorist Sam Howells to its roster. Largely self-taught, Howells often finds inspiration from photography and paintings for their use of color, light and composition.
Howells' skills as a colorist can be seen in Ghostlight, Waiting for the Light to Change and A Black Hole Near Kent County. He has also worked on many commercials, including those for Kerrygold, Volkswagen and Levi’s. Additionally, he recently won an AICP Award for Best Color Grading in the Music Video category for his work on Travis Scott’s Sirens.
“I’ve been a fan of the team at Ethos for a while now,” he notes. “I see Ethos taking a different approach in the industry than other post houses. I’m constantly impressed with the colorists on Ethos’ roster, and I’m excited to play a part in that!”
