LONDON — The Association of Motion Picture Sound (www.amps.net), a UK-based craft guild made up of over 540 creative talents working in the field of sound for film, television and games, has has announced the winners of its 11th Annual AMPS Awards for Television Drama, Factual Film and Audio Products.

Disney+’s The Bear won for Excellence in Sound for a Television Drama, for Series 2, Episode 6 "Fishes.” Scott D. Smith, Evan Benjamin, Steve “Major” Giammaria and Andrea Bella were awarded. Nominees were Succession (HBO/ Sky), The Last of US (HBO/ Sky), The Bear (Disney+), The Crown (Netflix).
Netflix’s The Deepest Breath picked up the award for Excellence in Sound for a Factual Film. Greg Gettens, Will Chapman, Chad Orororo and Adam Prescod were honored. Nominees were The Deepest Breath (Netflix), If These Walls Could Sing (Disney+), Inside Our Autistic Minds (BBC Two), Life on Our Planet (Netflix), Secrets of the Elephants (National Geographic/ Disney+).
Radius Windshields for Radius RAD-1 was awarded excellence in a Production Hardware or Software Audio Product.
Introspecter for Kraken Dialogue Editors’ Toolkit - Version was awarded excellence in a Post-Production Hardware or Software Audio Product.
And sound production mixer Chris Munro, AMPS, was awarded the AMPS Fellowship Award for his Outstanding Contribution to Film, the Sound Community and to AMPS, of which he is a founding member. Munro is is a multiple award winner, with credits including Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning, Captain Phillips, and Black Hawk Down and Gravity - for which he won two Academy Awards.

AMPS trophies are awarded annually, with the winner’s reception taking place at The University of Greenwich on Sunday 7th April, where winners received their trophies.
