BRISTOL, UK — Moonraker VFX (https://moonrakervfx.com) has added Lucas Pozzey to its leadership team. A 3D specialist, he joins the visual effects studio as head of 3D and brings two decades of experience, including time at MPC, Dneg, Luma and Jellyfish.
After establishing himself in live action as a director and cinematographer, Pozzey was able to transfer those skills into VFX. His career highlights include contributions to Prometheus, The Lion King (2019), Marvel and DC films. Six films that he’s worked on in the last decade were nominated for the Best Visual Effects Academy Award. Most recently, he worked on the Prehistoric Planet series.
“I'm excited to help expand on what the talented artists at Moonraker have achieved so far and hope to bring some of the skills and knowledge I've acquired working for big studios to push us creatively and technically to where we want to be,” says Pozzey.
"We are extremely excited to welcome Lucas to the team,” adds Simon Clarke, Moonraker founder. “He brings with him a huge breadth of experience and an impressive level of artistry and technical expertise.”
