NEW YORK CITY — Creative post boutique Uppercut (www.uppercutedit.com) recently welcomed editor Eric Argiro to its roster of talent. Argiro has cut commercials for globally recognized brands, such as Covergirl, Ulta Beauty, Amazon, New Balance, Fiat, Honda, Facebook, Jose Cuervo, Sam Adams, CitiBank and Bank of America, among many others. His editorial prowess can also be seen in projects and music videos for artists such as Tom Petty, Phish, Pussy Riot, Leon Bridges and Zayn.
Beyond his short-form work, Argiro worked as the co-editor of the Netflix docu-series Emergency: NYC, which was shot across five hospitals in New York City, and served as the polishing editor for the documentary feature Sue Bird: In The Clutch, which closely followed the final year of the WNBA legend’s career.
“I’ve known Eric for more than 15 years, personally and professionally,” says Micah Scarpelli, editor and founder of Uppercut. “I’ve been following his career closely, and I’m thankful that the time is finally right to welcome him on board with Uppercut.”
“With each person I’ve gotten to know, I get a sense of an honest, down-to-earth approach that permeates the company, and I’ve really connected with that,” says Argiro of joining Uppercut. “This feels like the next natural step in my career, and I feel like I’m in great company with all the other post production artists at Uppercut.”
