Nominees announced for 2023 FilmLight Colour Awards

LONDON — FilmLight revealed the nominees for its 2023 FilmLight Colour Awards (www.filmlightcolourawards.com). The awards are now in their third year and attracted more than 400 entries from 45 countries across the globe. Lead by Lawrence Sher, ASC, this year’s independent jury consists of cinematographers, colourists and creatives, who will vote on the 22 nominees across five categories.

All nominees and projects will be celebrated, and the winners announced, at the annual FilmLight Colour Awards ceremony, which will take place at EnergaCameraimage in Poland on November 12, 2023.

“I’m so thrilled by the submissions for this year’s FilmLight Colour Awards,” says Sher. “The diversity of talent and work is, as expected, very high. Our jury meetings so far, with talented cinematographers, colourists and filmmakers, have illuminated how fundamental the colourists’ work is in the filmmaking process, and it’s been a complex job to determine the nominees. Everyone that has made it through these early rounds has, in our eyes, already won. I am looking forward to Camerimage, where we will celebrate and announce the winners.”
