Kristopher Smale joins Rare Medium as colorist. Over the past decade, Smale has built up a portfolio that includes work for global brands that include Toyota, Apple and Verizon. He says he enjoys the creative output and the talent of the agencies in Chicago, and that staying in the area and servicing that market was on the top of his agenda.
Alex Frankland has also come on board as a color assistant. His work spans both feature length and short films, along with music videos, commercials, online promos, viral videos, documentaries and corporate videos. In addition to working for The Mill and Nice Shoes, he has experience freelancing across the globe in Hong Kong. In his new role, Frankland will be tasked with providing support for color grading operations from ingest to delivery.
While all three are based in the Chicago and the wider Midwest market, they are available for work worldwide.
