LOS ANGELES — American Cinema Editors (ACE) has announced the dates for its awards program. The 74th Annual ACE Eddie Awards (https://americancinemaeditors.org) will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at UCLA’s Royce Hall in Los Angeles. The event will begin with a reception, followed by the ceremony and an after-party.
The ACE Eddie Awards recognize outstanding editing in 13 categories of film and television. To be eligible to compete in both film and television categories, projects must have aired or been released in theaters between January 1st and December 31st, 2023.
Three special honors will be handed out at the ACE Eddie Awards ceremony, including two Career Achievement recipients, presented to film editors of outstanding merit, and the Golden Eddie Filmmaker of the Year honor, presented to a filmmaker who exemplifies distinguished achievement in the art and business of film. Honorary award recipients will be announced later this year. Also announced that evening will be the winner of the Anne V. Coates Student Editing Competition.
Submissions for the ACE Eddie Awards open November 1st and close on December 15th at 5pm (PST). Nominations will be announced on Thursday, January 25th.
