Beyond the 2600MB/s read performance, the G-Drive Pro Studio SSD offers sequential write performance of 1900MB/s. It is compatible with MacOS 10.12+ (Time Machine Compatible) and Windows 10+ (via reformat). The unit is backed by a five-year limited warranty.
The company also showcased the SanDisk G-RAID Shuttle 8 at NAB. The Shuttle 8 is a transportable eight-bay hardware RAID solution with Thunderbolt 3 (40Gbps) and USB-C (10Gbps) interfaces, offering content professionals 48TB to 160TB of capacity and high-powered performance for consolidated backup, super-fast access and realtime video editing. The unit supports multi-stream 4K, 8K and VR workflows; RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, 50 and 60 configurations; and provides transfer rates up to 1690MB/s read and 1490MB/s write in default RAID 5.
With dual Thunderbolt 3 ports, users can daisy chain up to five additional devices, keeping them connected to multiple drives, 4K displays, and more, through a single connection. With support for up to 85 watts of USB power delivery through the USB-C port, the drive can charge a compatible MacBook or MacBook Pro without the need for a separate MacBook charger.
Along with Ultrastar enterprise-class hard drives inside for enhanced reliability, the unit comes with a five-year limited warranty.
