Cortex V.5.5 continues to broaden its toolset for managing media files from the set to the screen. Key new features include blanking error detection, a qulity-assurance tool that automatically identifies image framing errors caused by aspect ratio differences, or VFX or editorial errors. Also new for Cortex is frame-rate conversion, an AI-assisted frame-interpolation utility. The NexGuard forensic watermarking feature provides a simple but effective way to prevent piracy and leaks. Cortex also includes new tools to support the Dolby Atmos format.
DRS Nova V.5.1 includes a number of new features, such as camera-motion analysis, which allows camera motion to be analyzed in three segment types - static, low and high - with tool settings available for each. Shine, the dirt and scratch removal tool, gained a new alpha filter for replacing dirt and scratches found in the IR map. And the dynamic deflicker feature helps prevent artifacts from appearing on near-field objects moving through frame.
