LOS ANGELES — Lance Hayes has joined Harbor (harborpicturecompany.com) as director of post technology, based out of the company’s LA campus. Hayes brings more than 14 years of technical operations experience in post production to his new role.
He’s previously worked with Shed, ILM, Efilm and Light Iron, and is adept at solving complex problems, creating agile workflows and managing a team of engineers. Hayes will work directly with Harbor’s head of post technology Randy Main to help execute and manage engineering infrastructure projects across all geographies.
“I’m excited to collaborate with the creative, talented engineers at Harbor to help create the most advanced, forward-thinking post production facility in the industry,” says Hayes. “The boundaries of on-set/near-set and remote locations will blend to create one seamless facility for artists and creatives to work more efficiently across the globe.”
“Harbor’s mission has always been to protect and elevate artistry by backing the creative process with radical innovation,” explains Harbor CEO, Zak Tucker. “We are hyper focused on pushing the limits of technology and workflows to continue pioneering systems not just for the films of today, but for the films of tomorrow.
