LOS ANGELES — Ingenuity Studios (www.ingenuitystudios.com), the full-service visual effects studio, has appointed Joyce Boll executive vice president of features & episodics in their New York office. In her new role, Boll will be responsible for business development in New York and throughout the East Coast. She will also leverage her leadership skills and experience to further grow and scale the studio’s New York presence.
“This is a great time for Joyce to be joining Ingenuity’s leadership team, as we continue our period of steady growth and expansion,” explains David Lebensfeld, founding partner and VFX supervisor of Ingenuity Studios. “Though we have headquarters in the heart of Hollywood, literally and figuratively, we also work with a great many clients in New York through our studio in Manhattan. We’re looking to Joyce to make an impact with her proven combination of industry expertise, time-tested relationships, and enthusiastic dedication to the business.”
Over the years, Boll has helmed animation and VFX studios, and has launched entertainment ventures throughout the world within the film, television, music, advertising, gaming, VR/AR and immersive experiential venue arenas. She has led VFX studio teams that were integral to such projects as Russian Doll, Outer Range, Dexter, Black Swan, Limitless, Life of Pi, Captain America, Moonrise Kingdom and Little Women, among many others.
Boll is dedicated to growing future artists by teaching, lecturing and advising at various design and technology schools, including the School of Visual Arts (NYC), Bezalel School of Design (Jerusalem), and New York University. She is a member of VES New York (and former board member), as well as the Post New York Alliance.
