BOSTON — Music production company Gratitude Sound (www.gratitudesound.com) has expanded its East Coast footprint by naming Jeff Turlik creative director. Based in New York City, Turlik will work as a composer and creative director within Gratitude’s roster.
Gratitude regularly composes and produces original music for ad agencies, production companies and direct to brands. The company’s client base includes Cheerios, Reebok, Samsonite, Toyota, and Wayfair, among others. Turlik is a guitarist, electric bassist, composer and music director who graduated from the Berklee College of Music. From 2001 to 2020, he served a variety of creative and supervisory roles for the Blue Man Group. He also performed as part of the BMG Band.
“Jeff and I grew up together in the Boston music scene,” explains Gratitude Sound owner Bryan Hinkley. “We often toured together and I always had huge respect for him musically. I also admire his kindness and overall good-natured attitude.”
After reuniting at a charity concert in 2021, Turlik expressed interest in writing for commercials.
“After working on a few jobs together, it was clear that he would do well in a bigger role at Gratitude Sound,” Hinkley notes. “The timing was right, so here we are with Jeff now serving as our creative director in New York.”
