CHICAGO — Flavor (https://flavor.tv), the global collective of visual storytellers, recently announced the return of production veteran Kate Smith, who will serve as executive producer. Previously a producer for Flavor, Smith spent the past year as senior producer with Carbon, developing high-profile brand campaigns, including BBH New York’s Black-Owned Friday spot for Google.
Prior to landing with Flavor in 2019, Smith was a producer for specialized creative agency Leviathan. She began her career with independent production studio Optimus, where she rose to the post of producer design & VFX, working on projects spanning commercials, TV series and feature films over the course of 10 years.
“I am so excited to be back with my Flavor and Cutters Studios friends,” Smith states. “You can’t beat working on first-class projects with the solid and supportive team they’ve cultivated. Seriously looking forward to diving back in!”
“Kate is very well-versed in every aspect of our production process,” notes managing director Neal Cohen. “The knowledge she brings is only available to someone with her level of experience. She also knows so many people and has great relationships across a huge database. All of this makes her the ideal person to assess challenges, devise solutions and improve the results for us and our clients.”
To support clients worldwide, Flavor is looking to expand its roster of freelancers. Experienced and passionate designers, 2D/3D animators, character animators, VFX artists, compositors and Flame finishers are invited to send reels, portfolios and resumes to: http://cuttersstudios.com/freelancer.
