FREMONT, CA — Blackmagic Design (https://www.blackmagicdesign.com) showed a number of cloud solutions at the recent NAB show in Las Vegas. The company’s Cloud Store is a high performance network storage solution with four 10G Ethernet connections and a parallel memory core that can sustain maximum possible transfer speeds on each 10G Ethernet port, all at the same time. Cloud Store is available in 20TB, 80TB and 320TB configurations, and allows editors, colorists, VFX artists and audio engineers to work together in DaVinci Resolve on the same project at the same time. Available in Q2, pricing will start at $9,595.
The Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini (pictured), which is now available ($2,995), is a network storage solution with the high performance of 4 M.2 flash memory in a RAID 0 configuration. With its built-in 10G Ethernet, the Blackmagic Cloud Store Mini is extremely fast, allowing multiple users to collaborate on video editing in software such as DaVinci Resolve. By using Dropbox sync, multiple units can be synchronized across different geographic locations. HDMI monitoring output allows for viewing live status of the memory core.
Blackmagic’s Cloud Pod (pictured, top) uses any USB-C disk as network storage, allowing customers to build their own network storage using USB-C flash disks they already own. Features include high speed 10G Ethernet and Dropbox sync, so customers can cache files locally and share them with everyone on their network. An HDMI monitoring output allows for realtime viewing of the network storage status. Cloud Pod is a available now for $395.
