LONDON — Tablet maker Wacom has partnered with creative production network Movidiam to launch an online creative competition. Participants have the opportunity to win a Wacom Cintiq 16, as well as learn how top creatives are using the creative pen display, which features vibrant colors, HD resolution and a super-responsive pen.
The competition launched on August 9th and asks that entrants submit a piece of work centered on the brief ‘Dare to Create’. Whether animation, illustration or photo manipulation, the medium is up to interpretation and so is the theme. One winner will receive a Wacom Cintiq 16.
Entries can be made online (wacomdare2create.movidiam.com/competition) or on social media using the hashtag #wacomdare2create. The competition will end for judging at midnight on August 31st, and the winner will be announced on September 3rd.
To help explore the features and benefits of the Cintiq 16, Wacom and Movidiam are also teaming up with animation director and illustrator Emmanuelle Walker, who has been freelancing in 2D animation, motion design, visual development and direction for 17 years. Walker’s work includes collaborations with brands such as Christie's, Lancôme, The Walt Disney Company and Google.
