NEVADA CITY, CA — Telestream (www.telestream.net) has introduced six new models in its Prism waveform monitor product line. The new models have smaller form-factors to address space constraints and a more affordable entry price point.
With these new products, the Prism family now offers a complete range of ‘software defined’ monitoring instruments, covering use cases from operational SDI monitoring to engineering grade IP analysis, with a common user interface throughout. The new products are designed to support both local and remote production situations up to 8K HDR. As software-defined instruments, customers can purchase a base model and add features as and when required.
According to Telestream’s Charlie Dunn, the new members of the Prism family may differ in size, but offer the same features, including a touch-screen interface. Telestream is offering the new waveform monitors in two form factors - single (MPS-100, 200, 300) and dual screen (MPD-100, 200, 300). Each model is also being offered in any of three configurations: SDI only, SDI and IP, and SDI, IP and physical layer.
The new models are more space conscious, at only five-inches deep, yet with no compromises in capability (4K/8K HDR/Wide Color Gamut, four inputs, Dolby Audio, 10/25G-IP and 12G-SDI). In addition to offering remote capabilities, the new models offer a broad set of HDR tools, including STOP waveform, user-defined False Color, Light Meter and CIE charts.
