BOISE, ID — Tab Butler has joined Silverdraft Supercomputing (silverdraft.com) as a special advisor to the CEO in Silverdraft Sports Media and Entertainment. Within this role, Butler will lead Silverdraft’s efforts in providing solutions in media asset management, augmented reality, broadcast AR and digital human effects. He will introduce new clients to Silverdraft’s cutting edge visualization and viewer experience solutions.
Butler specializes in media management, workflow orchestration, and software development for digital and linear content production and distribution. His extensive experience in live, studio and post production brings an end-user perspective to solution design and development. He joins Silverdraft with a wealth of experience in network broadcast operations, having been the recipient of nine Emmy Awards and an Edison Award.
For the past 12 years, Butler worked at MLB Network as the senior director of media management and post production. He designed, developed and deployed the original file-based infrastructure of MLB Network’s launch in 2009, and continued in that role, enhancing the infrastructure and expanding automated workflows in digital and linear content creation and distribution, media management, editing, content capture and archiving.
