NEW YORK CITY — The heads of two of New York’s leading animation studios will discuss prospects for the industry in the next edition of Post Break. The weekly webinar series from Post New York Alliance (PNYA) will take place Thursday, August 27th at 4pm, and will feature James Belfer of Brooklyn’s Cartuna and Mary Nittolo of the Studio NYC. They will both reveal how their companies are surviving the pandemic, and how they plan to thrive in the future.

Like many companies in the entertainment and advertising industries, animation studios have had to rethink their business models in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. In this free one-hour session, Belfer and Nittolo will review animation’s evolving landscape.
Some of the topics of discussion will include: tax credits being offered by the State of New York; where future opportunities lie; and what positions are animation studios looking to fill?
