NEW YORK CITY — Lobo (https://lobo.cx) used both stop-motion and CG techniques to create a new spot for brewer Eisenbahn. Locomotive takes place in the brewery, where a miniature train collects payloads of hops, grains and more, all under the watchful eye of Eisenbahn founder Juliano Mendes.
The spot was conceived by agency agency SUNO United Creators and represents Eisenbahn’s craft philosophy. Gabriel Nobrega directed the project, which runs one minute in length.
Lobo constructed an entire bar in-studio for the shoot, printing every frame of animated sequence on actual cut & painted cardboard. The train’s tracks evolve into a roller coaster and eventually send the locomotive into the vat where the beer is brewed.
Lucas Andres Barreto served as director of photography, and Bianca Viani coordinated the stop motion and miniatures team. Clara Morelli and Rosangela Gomes served as post production coordinators.
Marcos Smirkoff and Guto Sposito handled CG models, and Felipe Ferreira created textures.
Ferreira and Marcos Samia handled the render. Simulation was created by Gabriel Reid and Lucas Stringhetti. Compositors included Leandro Pena, Carlos Campos, Nara Andrade, Rodrigo Silva and Leonardo Augusto da Silva. Diego Ruiz and Gassan Abduni were roto artists.
DaHouse Audio provided the soundtrack.
