The Colonie adds three assistant editors

CHICAGO — The Colonie (www.thecolonie.com) has added assistant editors Priscilla Perez and Lexi Midkiff to its team, along with assistant editor/assistant motion graphic designer Lindsey Fisher. The full-service editorial and post production boutique’s clients include McDonald’s, BCBS, Facebook, Anheuser-Busch, Nintendo, Levi’s, PepsiCo, Walmart and Bayer. The appointments will allow the studio to keep pace with the growing number of broadcast spots, social media packages, cross-platform campaigns and long-form projects that clients are calling on for integrated services.

Assistant editor Priscilla Perez joins The Colonie from Whitehouse, bringing editorial experience in multiple genres, including commercials, social media packages, documentaries and music videos. Early this March, during a stint at We Are Victory, Perez flew to NC where she worked as the on-set editor during Nike’s All-Star weekend, turning around a trio of Instagram story videos during the span of a weekend and meeting the brand’s tight deadline. Perez also brings the eye of a designer. She created the motion graphics for the title animation for the film, Build Ramps-Not Walls, which won the ‘Best Student Documentary’ award at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

Assistant editor Lexi Midkiff brings experience editing spots, Internet campaigns, music videos, and long-form projects to her new post. Her credits including cutting the trailer for the feature film, Signature Move, motion design for the films Freelancers Anonymous and Holy Trinity, and editing both movies’ Internet campaigns. She recently cut two music videos — Tick Tock for the group Glad Rags and Cactus, performed by Alex Grelley for The Grelley Duvall Show.

Assistant editor/assistant motion graphics designer Lindsey Fisher honed her skills as a staff motion designer, content manager and editor at E360 Sport for two years before going independent. As a freelance editor and designer, she worked on a variety of spots, and social media projects for Red19Creative and Eyepatch Productions, as well as on content for events, such as the International Champions Cup, the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix, the FIVB World League and the UCLA Rose Bowl.
