BURBANK, CA — Picture Shop (www.pictureshop.com) has acquired The Farm Group, its second international acquisition. The Farm Post Production is one of the UK’s largest post production groups. Founded in 1998, it has locations in London, Manchester, Bristol and Los Angeles. The Farm also operates the in-house post production teams for BBC Sport in Salford, UKTV, and Fremantle Media. Picture Shop acquired Vancouver's Finale Post earlier this year.
Both Picture Shop and The Farm Group work on a range of high profile programming, supplying content to Netflix, Apple, Amazon, BBC, Warner Bros, CBS, NBC, HBO, Sony, ITV, Channel 4, UKTV and many more. Combined, the expanded group can supply the full range of picture and sound post production, VFX, content production and other media services in Los Angeles, the UK, and Canada.
The founders of The Farm, Nicky Sargent and Vikki Dunn, will re-invest in the expanded Picture Head Group. They will stay involved in The Farm Group.
David Klafkowski, founder and CEO of The Farm, says, “I am excited to have the opportunity to work with some of the top post professionals in the world. We are like-minded in that we want to produce the very best content and offer the best value to our clients. Honestly, combined, we have the best post teams in the world."
"Our strategy is to build a company that focuses on culture and philosophy,” adds Bill Romeo, Picture Shop president. “The Farm does both and I am excited that they will be part of Picture Shop. This marks a very exciting step for Picture Shop and we now can offer our clients, wherever they may be based, top creative talent on a global scale."
