AUSTIN, TX — Jackie Venson is a singer/songwriter/guitarist who recently released a new video on earmilk.com. Joy uses color to represent the way a person can think and feel. In Venson’s case, yellow is her ultimate sign of happiness, while blues, greens and purples are associated with personal struggles and failed relationships.
Directed by Andrew Bennett of Bennett Creative (www.bennettcreative.co) in Austin, the video features Venson performing on a white cyclorama. In each verse, different color themes are introduced to reflect the tone of the song. When the chorus hits, everything takes a positive turn, with sunny yellows, confetti and balloons filling the screen.
The video was shot at St. Elmo Sound Stage in Austin, using a Blackmagic Design Ursa Mini camera. Juan Gonzalez cut the project using Adobe Premiere.
