LOS ANGELES — Visual effects studio Electric Theatre Collective (www.electrictheatre.tv) has strengthened its LA team with the recent hiring of Alex Gorodetzki, who comes on board as head of sales. He will be tasked with growing the business in the US market for both Electric Theatre and sister company Friends Electric, the creative production studio.
Gorodetzki is an experienced sales strategist with a strong track record. He joins the company from The Enthusiast Network’s (now The Motor Trend Group) internal production and post studio, where he developed a client base that included Nike, Vizio, Infiniti, Mazda, and launching ROXOR by Mahindra.
Prior to The Enthusiast Network, Gorodetzki headed up business development at Logan and Picture Mill, where he focussed on developing relationships with brands such as Apple, NFL, Google and Electronic Arts. He developed close relationships with global agencies that include BBDO, JWT and Goodby Silverstein and Partners. Before Picture Mill, Gorodetzki helped launched Elastic, where he was EP before becoming head of sales for Elastic and sister brands Rock Paper Scissors and a52.
“The opportunity to work with Electric was impossible to pass up,” says Gorodetzki. “Everyone, from the founding partners to the LA leadership, creative leads, and support teams are passionate about producing great work. There’s a great atmosphere at Electric - a real passion for the people, the work, and the industry as a whole. It’s refreshing to see that that starts with the partners and waterfalls down to everyone, including production assistants and runners, wanting to grow into new roles.”
