SAN JOSE, CA — Adobe (www.adobe.com) has announced new features for its Premiere Rush editing solution. A new speed panel puts professional speed controls into a friendly interface. Version 1.2’s “Speed” features allow users to slow down or speed up footage, add adjustable ramps and maintain audio pitch. The tools is intuitive for first-time video creators, yet powerful enough to satisfy the needs of video pros who are editing on the go.
A slider with a 100 percent value can be adjusted to slow down or quicken the video footage. Ramping effects can also be created, which progressively speed up or slow down a selected range. Speed ramps are .5 seconds by default, however ramp length can be adjusted to any value.
Clips cam also be manually set for duration. After setting the duration, Rush will do the math and adjust a clip speed to the appropriate value. This is useful for timelapse effects.
