SAN FRANCISCO — The AR developers at Tactic (https://tactic.studio) have been creating a series of wine labels that allow customers to extend their experience with the product beyond the purchase. The studio was called on by Treasury Wine Estates and JWT SF to create its first AR label, 19 Crimes, back in late 2017. Since their initial work on 19 Crimes, Tactic has continued to expand the Living Wine Labels App portfolio to include labels for The Walking Dead (featuring zombies from the AMC show), and Embrazen (highlighting pioneering women for Women’s Equality Day), among others.
The studio’s work for Treasury Wine Estates has led to much interest from other vineyards and recently, Tactic launched a new AR app and label for Rabble Wine Company. After downloading the brand’s app, users can watch their wine bottle’s label present an animated short in which the city of Florence is destroyed by an apocalyptic comet. Tactic is in the process of developing two more labels for Rabble, which will be released in the near future.
Most recently, Tactic developed and released an app and label for Bogle Vineyards, one of the largest wineries in the United States.
