LOS ANGELES – Visual effects studio FuseFX (www.fusefx.com) has appointed Marshall Krasser VFX supervisor in its Vancouver office. Krasser brings more than two decades of experience in the visual effects industry, having worked on high-profile feature films, television shows and commercials.
“Marshall is an ideal addition to the FuseFX team,” says Jon Cowley, senior visual effects supervisor and head of production of FuseFX’s Vancouver office. “He knows what it takes to deliver exacting feature-quality work, and he shares our philosophy of delivering elite client service and really pushing the boundaries of technology to do more than anyone thought possible.”
“FuseFX is clearly looking forward, not back, and that is an important distinction in our industry,” Krasser adds. “I am thrilled to be part of a team that focuses on collaborative excellence and avoids a cookie-cutter approach. It is an exciting time to be at this company.”
Krasser’s previous experience includes roles with CoSA VFX, Psyop and Industrial Light & Magic. His film credits include contributions to The Accountant, Divergent, 300: Rise of an Empire, The Great Gatsby, Iron Man 2, Battleship, Avatar, Star Trek, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, War of the Worlds, Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Pearl Harbor, The Perfect Storm, Titanic and Forrest Gump. On the episodic television side, his work includes Lucifer, Waco, Prison Break, The Walking Dead, Zoo, The X-Files and The Man in the High Castle, to name a few. He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the Visual Effects Society. A United States citizen, Krasser also has permanent residence status in Canada.
