SAN MATEO, CA — GoPro (gopro.com) has introduced the all-new Hero7 Black ($399), featuring HyperSmooth video stabilization. The in-camera stabilization designed to eliminate the need for a gimbal. Hero7 Black can shoot 4K/60 or 1080p/240 quality video. The camera is waterproof to 33 feet, has voice control, a touch screen, 8x slow motion, HDR and live streaming capabilities.
The company also announced the Hero7 Silver ($299) and Hero7 ($199) White, which are active-lifestyle cameras for mid-level and entry-level users.
In conjunction with the new Hero7 Black, GoPro has announced the “Million Dollar CHallenge,” which asks users to help the company create the ultimate Hero7 Black highlight reel. Users of the new camera can submit their best raw video clips. If the shots are used in the video, they get an equal cut of the million dollar prize.
