EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND — Film Cut Post Production has launched a new coloring arm of the company — filmcolorist.com — to handle color work on both film and television projects. Filmcolorist.com is a high-end color grading facility. Its work will include commercials and music videos.
“Film Colorist is an exciting venture for us as a company and by far the biggest investment we have made to date,” says Matt Williams, founder and colorist for filmcolorist.com. “We have built a grading theatre for all of our color work to be done through the online platform to serve the industry across the world. Of course, if clients want to visit the grading theatre they’re always welcome. All our services will be accessible remotely from anywhere in the world."
Filmcolorist.com is using the latest Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio release with color critical monitoring through Flanders Scientific monitors. According to Williams, client don't need any specialist equipment to view material, though a color critical monitor would provide the most accurate experience.
