Creative studio Lobo expands US sales team

NEW YORK CITY — Design, animation and mixed media studio Lobo (http://lobo.cx) has expanded its sales team with the addition of Nathan Skillicorn (right) of Heart, Brains & Nerve in the Midwest and James Bartlett (left) of Mr. Bartlett on the East Coast. Heart, Brains & Nerve’s roster also includes Believe, Hound, Friends Electric, Schrom and Seed. Mr. Bartlett’s roster includes Diktator, Jump Editorial, The Marmalade and Strike Anywhere. Bartlett will work alongside Lobo’s existing East Coast sales team, Minerva, led by Mary Knox and Shauna Seresin.

The growth in Lobo’s US sales team comes on the heels of taking home a Cristal Award from the Annecy International Animation Festival for a commissioned film for their Leica campaign, "Everything in Black and White.” Their thought-provoking animated short Sunshine for Day One was shortlisted for a 2018 Cannes Lions for Animation.

“I’ve always enjoyed the amazing talent at Lobo and I’m thrilled to be representing them in the Midwest,” says Skillicorn. “Their volume of impressive contemporary work ranging from 2D and 3D animation to artful live-action fits in perfectly with my roster and advances my reputation for having world class talent.”

Lobo, which also has an office in São Paulo, recently expanded its US presence by moving to a new studio in Manhattan’s bustling Chinatown. Led by creative director Guilherme Marcondes, art director Felipe Jornada and executive producer Luis Ribeiro, the new space helps address the growing workflow demands from the US market. After an initial limited footprint in New York City, the new space includes editing and Flame capabilities, a finished rooftop deck and a multipurpose production space.
