NEW YORK CITY — At the Audio Engineering Society’s 145th International Convention, Neumann will be presented with a “Service to Industry” award to mark the company’s 90th anniversary. The company is being recognized for its long history in the development of microphones for studio and live performance, and for its advancement of microphone technology.
All attendees are invited to attend the presentation, which takes place on the PSE Recording Stage, inside the AES New York 2017 Exhibition Hall in New York City’s Jacob Javits Convention Center at 10:30am on Wednesday, October 17th. Presenting the award on behalf of the AES will be AES international sales director Graham Kirk and multi-Grammy Award-winning engineer/mixer Al Schmitt. Receiving the award will be Wolfgang Fraissinet, president of Neumann.
Following the presentation will be three days of sessions by some of the world’s leading engineers and manufacturers on the exhibition floor, including Neumann/Sennheiser, who will be demonstrating the brands’ latest innovations. In addition, the All Access Technical Program will offer four days of informational, educational and inspirational workshops, tutorials and white papers on the Javits Center’s ground floor.
