NEW YORK CITY — Content creation studio Bodega’s new animation division recently added the Toronto, Canada-based animation shop Iamstatic to its roster for US projects. Iamstatic is led by partners/directors (L-R) Dave Greene and Ron Gervais, and directs, designs and produces work for commercials, films, television and immersive/digital content.
The animation boutique has lent their talents to projects for Target, Mazda, Etsy and BMW. They have also worked on noteworthy opening title sequences for major films and television series, including Guillermo del Toro’s gothic romance film Crimson Peak, the Netflix/Discovery original Frontier, CTV’s popular drama series Flashpoint and the HBO comedy series Less Than Kind.
“Since the launch of Bodega Animation, we have seen a shared sensibility of collaborating with a bespoke lineup of talent and really feel that our company ambitions are perfectly aligned,” says Gervais. “We are excited to come on board and work with their team to build this new division.”
“We feel fortunate to have Ron and David join our roster,” adds Bodega Animation EP Bill Hewes. “Their vast array of design and animation skills complement and expand what we currently have to offer as part of our growing animation division.”
Bodega is based in New York City and San Francisco. The company’s in-house partners include Northern Lights (editorial), SuperExploder (sound) and Mr. Wonderful (VFX/design).
